Expect a Warm & Welcoming Church Family!
Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating But when it comes to Calvary Baptist, you can relaxโ€ฆ
We are not Perfect!

We're just one big family here. Like any family, we're all navigating life's challenges and relying on God's grace. There's no judgment here; we're just happy to have you join us! Don't worry about fitting in – we embrace our differences because, just like any family, we're wonderfully diverse. So fitting in is never a concern!

We are not very Religious!

Many individuals have experienced disappointment with organized religion. Religious frameworks can often appear bewildering, excessively intricate, and disconnected from everyday life. Instead, we advocate for a personal and genuine connection with our Lord Jesus Christ. If you feel uncertain or inexperienced during your initial visit, that's perfectly fine! Our church community is here to assist you in finding your place.

We Speak Plain English!

At Calvary Baptist, our primary aim is straightforward: worshiping God, delving into His Word, and uplifting one another to live according to His guidance. We endeavor to present our teachings in a clear and uncomplicated manner, adhering closely to the teachings of the Bible and explaining their significance. Our focus is on applying God's Word practically to every aspect of our lives.

We are just Regular People!

At Calvary Baptist, we're simply a community of friendly, down-to-earth individuals! Many of us lead busy lives, much like yours, and seek a church where we can find God's guidance for life's challenges. We long for a place that offers support and encouragement through life's highs and lows, surrounded by like-minded friends who share our faith in Christ.

What Happens When I Arrive?

When you arrive at Calvary Baptist Church, keep an eye out for signs leading you to our Visitor Center situated in the Family Life Center. At the Visitor Center, you'll receive a warm welcome from our friendly staff who can guide you to either our worship service or our children's classrooms if you're bringing kids along. Moreover, there are greeters stationed throughout our facilities ready to assist with any inquiries or help you find seating.

While you wait for the service to commence, feel free to immerse yourself in the music, stay updated on upcoming events via the main screen, and take a moment to fill out our Visitor Connection Card. You can submit the completed card to our ushers and/or pastoral staff at any time following the service.

What is the Service Like?

At Calvary Baptist, we aim to provide you with a meaningful worship experience that's free of stress. Our services typically last about 60 minutes. The first 15 minutes are dedicated to heartfelt singing of hymns and spiritual songs, led by our choir and congregational leader. All song lyrics are conveniently displayed on the main screen for easy participation. Following prayer, announcements, and another hymn, we're treated to special music by soloists or singing groups. Then, our Pastor delivers a message rooted in God's Word, tailored to our everyday lives, lasting around 30-40 minutes.

Beyond our worship services, we invite you to try one of our Adult Small Group Bible Studies every Sunday at 9:45 AM. These smaller, focused gatherings cater to various levels of spiritual growth—Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Discipleship. They provide an excellent opportunity to connect with others who share your desire to deepen their relationship with Christ through intensive Bible study, fostering spiritual growth in a practical manner.

Children
Where do I take my Children?

We have something wonderful for every child at Calvary Baptist — and your kids are going to love it.

Sunday Mornings at 9:45 AM: From our nursery for the littlest ones through 6th grade, every child has an age-appropriate class waiting for them. Andrew Blackburn, our Student Ministries Pastor, leads Calvary Kidz for ages 5-11, and our dedicated preschool and nursery teams care for your youngest children with love and patience. Every staff member and volunteer working with children has completed a thorough background check.
