Philippians 4:10–20
True Riches

How many times have you checked your bank account this week?

When the balance is low, we worry. When it’s good, we relax, and we pray a little less. Either way, that number starts running our hearts.

Writing from a Roman prison cell, the Apostle Paul said, “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” And to a church that gave out of deep poverty, he made a promise: “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

In this message, Pastor John Hester walks through Philippians 4:10–20 and shows why contentment and generosity rest on the same foundation: the God who supplies.

Big Idea: When you settle on the fact that God supplies what you need, you can be content with what you have and generous with what you hold.

This is the fourth message in our series, Still on Mission: Reaching the World Through Partnerships.
